Another week, another Friday. You know what that means! This week we want to introduce the world to one of the newer members of the TCI staff, Sheena Morris. As Project Coordinator, Sheena’s is the first face you see when visiting the Turtledove Clemens downtown Portland office. What is Sheena like? Without spoiling all the fun of reading this post, we’ll let you know she’s goofy and really into owls! To know more about Sheena, take a look at this week’s interview.
Who is your biggest hero?
My sister Rachel. We had a tumultuous relationship growing up, but have become super close. We’re opposites in many ways, but she has been an inspiration to me and part of the reason I moved to Oregon!
What would your dream job be if you weren’t in advertising?
I would love to be a traveling novelist and draw inspiration from places I visit.
What’s the deal with your affinity for owls?
Well, they are very whimsical and kind of mysterious. Plus, they are just really cute! For some reason I can’t get enough of them. It’s actually kind of creepy, my owl collection has grown a lot in the last couple of years. I need to stop collecting, but people just keep giving them to me!
What makes you excited to come to work at Turtledove Clemens?
In this industry, things are always changing. Our clients always have different needs, and that keeps things interesting. I think it’s an exciting thing to be involved in. I previously wrote for a magazine and things were always planned. However, at Turtledove Clemens I get an opportunity to solve problems and get creative more frequently!
If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I would have to say I’m obsessed with the carne asada Azteca Tacos at Boulevard Tacos on Rosa Parks Way. I actually just had it for dinner last night! They are within walking distance from my house, which is a little dangerous. So I guess my answer would be those tacos, or anything with carbs. I can’t live without carbs!
