Happy 100th Birthday to a Bunch of Smart Cookies

Girl Scouts Celebrate 100 YearsGirl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington marked their 100th anniversary on August 11th with a huge event in Albany. Thousands of current and past Girl Scouts (and, we’re sure, quite a few future Girl Scouts) converged on the Linn County Expo Center to celebrate the centennial with sing-alongs, a historical fashion show, entertainment from Radio Disney, and, of course, birthday cake.

Turtledove Clemens was proud to join Oil Can Henry’s, Sylvan Learning Centers and Wendy’s in supporting the wonderful event. One of the focal points of the celebration was the Oil Can Henry’s Twitter Wall, to which participants Tweeted throughout the event. Special prizes were randomly awarded throughout the day, encouraging a steady stream of Tweets.

Congratulations, Girl Scouts! Here’s to another century of building courage, confidence and character.
