In 2008, 15-year old Jennifer Sharpe sold an incredible 17,329 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Although Girl Scouts of the USA doesn’t track individual sales, her amazing achievement is considered by many to be a record — and it’s indicative of the hard work and dedication that Girl Scouts has instilled in millions of girls across the globe. We’re proud that Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington, Inc., has selected us as their strategic marketing communications partner.
This incredible organization is celebrating 100 years of building girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Founded by Juliette Gordon Low in 1912, Girl Scouts of America today counts 3.2 million members, 2.3 million girl members and 890,000 adult members working primarily as volunteers.
How influential is Girl Scouts? Consider this: 59% of the women in the United States Senate, 60% of the women in the House of Representatives and 53% of all women business owners are Girl Scout alumnae.
We’re excited to work with Girl Scouts and help further their mission. (Getting our hands on a few boxes of Thin Mints would be nice, too.)
